While watching Creflo Dollar on TBN, the pastor brought up some interesting points.
Curse of God: This is where people violate his word.
Proverbs 3:33: The curse of the LORD is in the house of the wicked: but he blesseth the habitation of the just.
Curse of Man: When someone has lawful authority over you, a parent has over a child.
Matthew 15:4: For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death.
Romans 13:1-2: Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. 2 Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves.
Self-Inflicted Curse: What you say about yourself will come back to you.
Curse of Sowing & Reaping: What you did in the past will come back to you.
Curse of the Prophets: Psalm 105:14-15: He allowed no one to oppress them;
He rebuked kings on their behalf:
“Do not touch My anointed ones, (B)
or harm My prophets.”
Cursed of the Accursed: Bringing an accursed object in your home, being around someone cursed, or living in a cursed community, you bring a curse against you.
Joshua 1:7: Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest.
Generational/Inherited Curse: Exodus 20:5: You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me,
Curse of Unforgiveness: Failing to forgive others or being bitter toward others will bring a curse upon you and hinder your spiritual relationship with God.
Hebrews 12;14-15: Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness, no one will see the Lord. 15 See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many.
curse of the Law: When God’s law is broken and the only to get out is to repent and obey God.
Curse of Satan: The simplest of all the curses and once you have established a relationship with Jesus and have decided to follow Him, Satan can’t bother you.
These curses aren’t to scare you, but to identify problems in your life to help you make a better life.
Instead of inflicting curses upon yourself, why not inflict a blessing?
