James R. Coffey

James R. Coffey

I’m a freelance writer-author with degrees in journalism, psychology, and anthropology. I have particular expertise in archaeology, world and popular culture, religious practices, ancient history, and music. I’ve traveled extensively throughout the US and Mexico and much of what I write reflects my personal experiences. I’ve written everything from children’s picture books to Gothic horror, humor to speculative history, and to date have over 200 short stories and journal articles in print. I recently made the jump to eBook writing and have three books currently available, “MRS. HALEY,” “AT THE OLD WRITERS BAR: That Damn Shakespeare,” and “NO FACE CHARLIE,” which can be found under James R. Coffey at Amazon.com. You can look forward to my examination of Hinduism and the Aghori cult in an upcoming issue of Fate Magazine. In addition to writing, I offer transcription, editing and proofreading, English tutoring, and research services, and currently work for two Florida universities.
